“The Vellarikkundu Primary Co-Operative Agricultural & Rural Development Bank Ltd No S 539” formed by bifurcating Hosdurg Primary Co-Operative Agricultural & Rural Development Bank Ltd No C 390, because of newly formed Vellarikkundu Taluk as a part of Taluk recoganization by Government. The Bank was registered on 24.11.2015 and started functioning on 22.02.2016. At Present the bank is functioning with the area of operation of Vellarikkundu Taluk in Kasaragod District.
The head quarters of bank at Beemanady Town. At present bank has 2 branches at Beemanady and Chullikkara. Besides a Sub office has functioning at Chittarikkal.

The bank is governed by an elected Board of Management consists of 11 memebers including Sri.A C Jose as President and Sri. P Murali as Vice President.

The bank has been playing a prominent role in catering the credit requirements of the agriculturists in the Taluk. Apart from advancing in agricultural and allied activities loans the bank is financing for the need of farmers for housing, cash credit, consumer durables, gold purchase for marriage purpose and gold pledge loan etc. In short sense the bank is advancing for almost all type of credit needs.
After the bifurcation the bank is functioning with a loan outstanding of Rs 96 crores having 12555 A Class members and 2566 B Class Members. The overdue of the bank is 29.9%. Present total staff strength is 21. In addition to this there is one Agricultural officer deputed from KSCARD Bank, one Asst.Registrar/Valuation officer, Concurrent Auditor and one Special sale officer deputed from Co Operative Department.
